About Viaderna
Since 1984, Erna Leenaars has been active within the graphic arts industry. Her career began as a lithographer and technical desktop publisher, before transitioning to the field of digital printing in 1995. She joined Océ as a customer trainer and product manager for colour systems, later advancing to the role of Business Development Manager at Xerox.

In 2007, she founded her own company, Viaderna, where her long-standing expertise in printing technologies became instrumental in the field of document examination. Drawing upon her extensive background in both conventional and digital printing, she developed specialised training programmes for forensic document examiners — professionals tasked with determining the authenticity, alteration, or forgery of documents.

Expertise and Services
Beyond training, Viaderna also conducts specialised forensic document research. With in-depth knowledge of printing processes, hardware systems, and forensic analysis methods, Viaderna provides expert support in cases where the origin, authenticity, or production method of a document is in question.
Typical research questions include:

  • Were two documents printed on the same printer?
  • Which printing technique was used for a questioned document?
  • Can the printer model be identified based on the print characteristics?
  • Has the document been altered or modified from its original version?
  • How was a signature applied — printed, scanned, or handwritten?
  • Is the stamp or seal original?
  • What can be determined about the age of the print or the paper used?

For each investigation, Viaderna delivers a comprehensive and independent expert report, ensuring that all findings are presented with clarity, accuracy, and full traceability.
